Cobalt Blue Gordiola Vase. Mallorca, 1950s

Handblown cobalt blue glass with ribbed body and applied curled decoration. Made by Gordiola, Mallorca's oldest glass factory — founded in 1719, eleven generations of the same family. Their cobalt blue is produced using a mineral formula kept secret for three centuries.
